Sustainability

A. Benevenuta & C. SpA cares about sustainability

Future is being sustainable

A. Benevenuta & C. SpA is now on a Sustainability path based on 4 main pillars: Social, Economic, Enviromental and Technical

For us, the Sustainability Report is a synthesis instrument of our work and a way to certify our ethics profile, in addition to legitimating the role we want to play in the community where we are located.

Since 2019 we have been publishing a detailed Sustainability report

Environmental sustainability

Sustainability implies a constant and growing wellbeing, with the aim of leaving future generations a better quality of life. The true challenge is the pursuit of innovation while at the same time being sustainable; for this goal to be reached, the focus must be on the main reduction targets, such as the saving of natural resources, the lowest possible production of chemicals, limit to the exploitation of nature and, last but not least, removal of hurdles to human being’s basic needs satisfaction, such as working conditions, health levels etc.
Environmental protection does not hinder economic development: indeed it introduces innovations that help to solve problems such as competitiveness and resources management within a circular economy, while lowering carbon emissions.
Benevenuta has also begun an analysis and data collection activity, with the goal of calculating its carbon footprint in scopes 1,2 and 3, and subsequently reducing its environmental impact.

Social sustainability

Social sustainability

A. Benevenuta & C. SpA is committed to creating a positive impact for people, both inside and outside its’ premises. This commitment involves human rights respect, promotion of fair working conditions, inclusion and collaboration with local communities. Investing in social sustainability is not only an ethically correct choice, but also a strategic decision that can ensure a lasting and prosperous future for the organization.

Economical sustainability

We want to ensure an economic development that is compatible with social equality and the ecosystem, thereby working in equilibrium with the environment. This means following the “three E” rule: Ecology, Equality, Economy

We introduced a cost deployment analysis of internal flows and production processes: this tool helps in following and improving logistics activities and processes of our parts, to foster continuous improvement projects that can generate efficiency.

Technical sustainability

Technical sustainability has started with advanced manufacturing process concepts, according to the technical pillar named EEM (early equipment management); this element involves usage of tools such as risk management, lessons learned and process FMEA.

Through this approach we were able to reduce the % FTQ rejects (First Time Quality), definitive rejection (ppm), % of rework and sorting hours, improve process capabilities and reduce the products lead times, all by optimizing the process flows without hindering the quality performance.
